Donation of a work to the pediatric surgery department of the Kremlin Bicêtre Hospital.
Hom Nguyen offered a work entitled "Human" to the pediatric surgery department of the Bicêtre Hospital. The opening took place on January 16, 2025 in the presence of the artist.
This work symbolizes the destinies of children who cross each other in the hospital, where each encounter leaves a mark. She celebrates the purity of childhood, the resilience and the depth of the bonds forged in the hospital. The bright colors used permeate the canvas, as does the imprint of these encounters on our lives.
It is also a way for the artist to express his gratitude to the caregivers, who through their dedication, transform this unfamiliar environment into a warm and welcoming place.
At the origin of the project, a message from Dr. Luca Pio, pediatric surgeon, which he addresses to the artist. Hom Nguyen immediately responded and accepted this collaboration. He proposed to create and offer a work to the service, with the desire to tell and embody pediatrics. But also to arouse the interest of other artists in order to make them want to express their art in the hospital.
This donation is part of his approach to make art accessible to all and to initiate all audiences. Hom Nguyen, for example, led drawing classes for adolescents hospitalized in psychiatry at the Pitié-Salpêtrière.
